We have been in the computer business for over 25 years and have developed a fully featured POS and Inventory Control system using Microsoft Operating Systems and Software.

 
SCRC designed its first Inventory Control System in 1978. Now, due to advances in technology we are able to create a new system that will carry the North Carolina ABC Boards well into the future.

SCRC has maintained a continuous relationship with several North Carolina ABC Boards for over two decades.
 
At SCRC Inc. we are fully committed to the ABC industry and use only the highest quality hardware along with Microsoft Windows based software on our Cash Registers and Servers. All computer systems are custom built and serviced by us to ensure quality and reliability. This system is sure to meet all current and future needs of North Carolina's ABC Boards.
 
SCRC uses Microsoft Software to develop our system because Microsoft has the most flexible and reliable software available. Our system runs on Microsoft Windows 98 and Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP operating systems and has been developed using Microsoft Access Database System. With our combination of Microsoft software and the highest quality hardware, your business will be ready for any changes that may arise.
Our registers are all custom built, PC based machines.

All registers are totally independent. If the server fails, the registers will continue to function, keeping all totals. When the server comes back online it will be automatically updated by the registers. The ability to continue checking out your customers normally, and the security of knowing that monthly totals are safe, is one of the most important features of our system.
Register Features
  • Large 14" color monitors are easy to read.
  • A total of seven items can be displayed on the scrolling screen, along with the current subtotal.
  • The display shows both the single price and extended price of the bottle.
  • Eighty percent of transactions require only two key strokes.
  • Large keys are spaced apart in order to prevent keystroke errors.
  • Instant one key inquire on any item.
  • Clerks have a fast sign on and sign off routine.
  • The keyboard has credit card scanning/authorization from each unit, accepts credit cards, debit cards, and with added hardware can accept and verify checks.
Register Features
  • Fast receipt printing with quiet laser printers.
  • Programmable scanners have a 12" reach, require very little counter space, and are programmed to prevent duplicated items.
Register Reports
  • Clerk reports can be taken from any unit at any time.
  • Clerk reports are never reset and can be duplicated later if needed.
  • Clerk security is assigned by management.
  • Transactions are logged by date, time, clerk, register, and store and may be printed or viewed by management when required.
 
  • A full or partial count can be taken any day of the month. This is good for holidays and to spot check specific bottles.
  • Our scanners feature simple one hand operation to record the bottle counts.
  • The scanner fits into a cradle to feed data to the computer and recharge batteries.
  • The printer prints out the overs and shorts for inspection. This is completed very quickly allowing a recheck of the bottle in question.
  • A total of four reports are printed for a complete inventory overview.
  • Incoming orders can be previewed one day prior to delivery, by downloading order file from J.A. Jones.
  • A check list is created from this file to count the truck.
  • Overages or shortages can be corrected before updating the current inventory.
  • A total of five reports are created for a complete picture of the receives just entered. This includes a cost report by invoice number for each vendor.
  • Inventory received is updated directly into Accounts Payable.
  • Reorder is based on previous month sales and can be recalculated by percentage. The total order is displayed for your inspection.
  • Changes to orders can be made at any time prior to sending.
  • The order it is transmitted to J.A. Jones via modem.
  • This system reduces errors because the numbers are imported directly to J.A. Jones' computer eliminating the need for hand entry.
  • A full featured accounting program including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Payroll is included with the system.
  • Inventory received is updated directly into Accounts Payable.
  • Price changes, including monthly SPA's, can be pulled from our web site monthly. There is no need to markdown or markup items manually for SPA's.
  • Instant cost/retail value of current inventory by item or by size (good for auditor) with no polling required.
  • Take full or partial inventory any day of the month.
  • Current on hand sales information for any item, as of last item sold, takes less than a minute, with no polling required.
  • Any transaction within the current month can be recalled using clerk name and date/time.
  • LBD system built into the inventory program.

  • All month end information is pulled into the office using automated telephone routine, no phone numbers to key in.
  • Automatic save of all monthly totals when the month is cleared.
  • Multi-Store System will handle all orders, transfers, and cost information to any number of stores.
Reports
  • The date is the only entry required to calculate and print all reports. There is no special sequence to remember and no polling required.
  • All end of month reports are printed in the proper format. No preprinted forms are required.
  • Any report can be recalled within the current month.
  • Unattended daily tape backup is done automatically.
  • Any windows based accounting system, word processor, or spreadsheet program can be used.
